Something Frank – Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc
Our flagship wine came about in our first vintage, which happened a few months after we purchased Parson’s Gully. Relatively unprepared for vintage in terms of equipment and storage the blend resulted from combining the individual wines in ratios to fill a French Oak barrel. The name pays homage to a friend and helper who whilst pressing the grapes was struggling with the pronunciation of “Cabernet Franc” and combined with a foreign accent resulted in “Something Frank”.
